EMPTIES - AUGUST 2015

EMPTIES - AUGUST 2015

Hello lovely readers, for today's post I wanted to share with you some of my empties from this month. I've kept these all together in a box and they have been in there for quite a while so they aren't just from one month but a few so I really wanted to share then with you.

1. The Simple Kind to Skin Soothing Facial Toner - This worked really well at removing excess Makeup and dirt after cleansing and prepped the skin for moisturiser. (I written about this and some other skincare products in my last blog post :))

2. Mini Ted Baker Body Spray - This is really cute for travelling with and it smells really sweet and floral. It lasted for a quite a while too as I got it at Christmas time. I used to carry this in my bag to freshen up throughout the day.

3. Ojon Damage Reverse Serum - This is lovely! Its smells really nice and it a bit like a Lavender scent but also quite subtle I used this in the ends of my hair after washing to help tame the ends and to lock in moisture. You only need a drop or two so this small bottle lasts for a long time and it comes with a Pipette so you can get out just the right amount of product.

4. Tresemme' Instafresh Dry Shampoo For Normal To Oily Hair - I used this after washing my hair to add volume and lift up the roots but I have used this on second day hair and it has given my hair a quick refresh so I feel like I've been able to give it a quick clean. I did like this product for adding volume but it didn't really add a scent to the hair and I did need to brush it well afterwards as it sometimes left white marks in my hair but its good value and did help to freshen up my hair. I really do like Tresemme' product so I would tray anything from their range as I love how they work and the way they are scented.

5. Waitrose Pure Facial Oil - I used this at night and put a few drops on my freshly washed face - I used the Pipette to get out two drops of this oil and then rubbed my hands together before gently pressing this into the skin avoiding my eyes. I then applied my night time moisturiser.
I've never really used a serum before so I didn't want to buy anything too expensive so just thought I'd try this. It helped to soften and moisturise the skin and didn't feel too greasy. I also tried a few other product from the range but didn't really get on with them but this worked ok for me. I'm not sure if I would re-purchase it but it did work ok for me.

6. Maybeline Falsies Express Mascara - Added Volume and length which lasted all day and make my lashes look really long but it did try out quite quickly.

7. Astral Face and Body Moisturiser - I really loved this as a night cream as it added so much moisture into the skin but it does slide a bit under Makeup so I would just used this at night and not during the day. It has a clean scent to it and a little goes a long way so you don't need much to hydrate the skin.

Have you tried any of these products?

Best wishes :)

SOME OF MY MOST RECENT SKINCARE PRODUCTS...

SOME OF MY MOST RECENT SKINCARE PRODUCTS...

Hello lovely readers in today's blog post I wanted to share with you some of the most recent Skincare items I've been using and what my thought are on them. There's not too many as I like to keep my Skincare routine quite simple and just use a few items at a time. I do like using Face Masks and have tried different products but these all work really well together and are really good especially if you are travelling. (Products from left to right)

1. Simple Kind to Skin Soothing Facial Toner - I use this after cleansing my face in the morning and at the end of the day. You just need a few drops of a cotton pad and then wipe this over your face avoiding the eye area. I find this just removes any excess dirt and makeup that the cleanser may have left behind. It also lasts for a really long time as you don't need that much, it doesn't have a strong scent so that's really good and it's doesn't cost that much so it's something I probably would re-purchase.

2. Philosophy Purity Cleanser - This is just a travel size I had so I thought I would try it out before maybe buying the full size. It did last for about two weeks and lathered up really nice> It worked at quickly removing Makeup and dirt and I did like the texture of this. It wasn't strongly scented which is something I really like, so maybe I would repurchase this next summer as I am currently on the lookout for a balm.oil cleanser to moisturise my skin during the coming winter months.

3. Superfacialist By Unna Brennan Vitamins C+ Brighten Dark Circles Eye Cream - This does really  brighten up my under eye area and helps make me look more awake, I really do like this Eye Cream but only used it when I really need to, I probably use it a couple of times a week under Makeup and/or on its own. You really don't need a lot and it's not too expensive but the only problem was the lid broke on mine so I've had to use it up before it dried out but I would buy this again.

4. Simple Kind to Skin Cleansing Wipes - These are great for travelling and work really well at removing Makeup or just freshening up the skin. I really like to keep a pack of Facial Wipes with me just in case I want to freshen up or remove any Makeup. I would then cleanse later on but these are great if you can't get to wash your face because you on the go or travelling.

Have you tried any of these?
Best wishes :)

Quick De-clutter/Empties Post - Part 1 - Summer 2015

QUICK DE-CLUTTER POST - PART 1 - SUMMER 2015

Hello lovely readers :) I just wanted to do a quick post to share with you what I've been using up over the past few months, I'm really trying to use up what I already own to save space and money but also to create a more minimalist environment, I have quite a few things I've either used up or decided to throw away as they are quite old or not longer work for me so I just wanted to share them with you all. I'm trying to own less and use more of what I have and be more creative that way I can create different looks without spending too much and without having too many products open at one time but for this post I wanted to share with you what I've used up most recently.

In this picture - MeMeMe Highlighter, Collection Concealer, Primark Eyeliner and a Model Co Lip Liner.

In this picture I have used up most of the Rimmel London Pink Nude Lipsitck and the Carmex Mint Lip Balm.

I also decided to throw away some of my old Makeup brushes which I've had for years as they no longer work for me and there's also a Nail File which never really worked so I decided not to keep it.

In this picture - Waitrose Pure Face Wash, Vaseline Moisturising Hand Cream, Two small Body Lotions from Sanctuary, a mini Benefit Posie Tint and a Mini Lip Balm I got in the Holiday sales last year.

I'm trying to use up what I have and become more minimalist, I like the idea of using what i have before buying more as I don't have a lot of space but love trying out new product so I can to this with the items I already own. I do love a good haul though but I will do them less often but I am always happy to review something new on my blog :)

Best wishes :)

THE NEW SCENT OF SUMMER 2015

THE NEW SCENT OF SUMMER 2015

Hello lovely readers hope your having a lovely Spring/Summer and with this in mind I though I would share with you a perfume I will most probably be using most days over this summer - its a relatively new release and was given to me as a gift for my Birthday a few months ago but I've be saving it for summer as its the perfect scent for this season.

MARC JACOBS - DAISY SORBET - I'm not that great at describing scents but this smells really fresh and sweet, its perfect for summer and the bottle is jut so lovely. It limited edition so its worth having a smell if you are looking for a new summer fragrance or just want to see what it smells like. This is my first Marc Jacobs fragrance but I would like to try more so maybe I will try one for another season.

The packaging is so cute just like all of the other Marc Jacobs Packaging - The tops of the bottle is decorated with three Daisies which are all in different colours - Purple, Pink and light Pink and the perfume itself is pink too!
I love the pretty design of the packaging the simplicity of curved glass bottle and the bright colour of each Daisy really make this bottle stand out as a decorative piece which I love - I will be using this as an accessory to decorate my room this summer - maybe keeping it on my desk or shelf so its not in direct sunlight.

What's your summer fragrance?

Best wishes :)

Mini Natural Collection Haul

MINI NATURAL COLLECTION HAUL

Hello lovely readers for today's post I just wanted to share with you a few of the items I picked up the last time I went to Boots, these items are all from the Natural Collection brand so they are really affordable but good quality, I especially like their Eye Shadows. So here's what I got...

The Natural Collection Pressed Powder in NEUTRAL this is a re-purchase for me, I was looking for a new face powder as mine Soap and Glory one hit pan and cracked to I had to throw it away as it was just getting everywhere. But I remember buying this powder in the past and it worked well for em and its a bargain at £1.99 so it was worth trying again.

The second item is the Natural Collection Eye Liner in OLIVE GREEN - I love this colour its so pretty, I think its a nice change and I love a good pop of colour on the eyes. If they did more colours like this I would buy them all!

I love the Natural Collection Eye Shadows - This is the Shade WILLOW as you can tell I have started using this, I've swatched it a few times and think its a great colour for all over the lid as it brightens your eyes and makes you look more awake. This is pale cream colour with little bits of added shimmer which is great for a night out.

This second Eye Shadow is also a re-purchase I had this a few years ago but lost it so thought it would be great to try it again as these were all on offer so I though I would try a few things. This Eye Shadow is in the shade ASTEROID its a dark brown colour with subtle shimmer in it which really works at catching the light, it works great as as a crease colour  - I love the name of it too!

Have you tried any of these products?

Best wishes :)

7 WAYS TO ORGANISE ON A BUDGET

7 Ways to Organise on a Budget
Here are some of quick ideas I have for getting organised on a budget…
Tbere are lots of ideas and a few pictures too!

1.   Ikea Drawer Dividers – Can be used to divide up drawers and separate items such as socks, underwear and accessories.

2.   Ikea Click boxes – Can be used to store small items such as individual Eyeshadows, Blushers, Travel Sized products and Nail Polishes.
I use this one for Skincare...

3.   Decorative Jars – Can be used to hold Brushes, Lip Balms, Nail Polishes and single Eyeshadows.

4.   Glossyboxes – Can also be used to divide up drawers and hold items such as Skincare and Bodycare.

5.   Ikea Plant Pots – Can be used to hold Brushes, Eyeliners/Mascaras, Lip Balms and Skincare.

6.   Acrylic Divider – These can be used to hold a variety of different items, from Nail Polishes, to Lipsticks, Perfumes and Jewellery.

7.   Decorative Boxes – These are great for organising lots if beauty products or for hiding some and keeping everything in your room look that little bit more organised.

Summer Drugstore Blushers – Some of my Favourites

Summer Drugstore Blushers – Some of  my Favourites

Here are some of my favourite Drugstore Blushers – These are all really great for summers day or just adding a little glow to your skin throughout the year.

If you want a natural pink look – Natural Collection Blushed Cheeks in PINK CLOUD. This adds a subtle hint of colour to the cheeks and is buildable so you can use a little and then add more if you feel you want to. It’s a powdery formula which I prefer over cream as I feel that it won’t melt on a warm day. It’s also fragrance-free which is great. Price £1.99

If you want a golden summer glow – Rimmel London Lasing Finish Soft Colour Blush in SANTA ROSE. This colour is gorgeous and would look great on tanned skin but it is great at adding a healthy glow to paler skin tones. I really like how compact this Blusher is and like to use this during the summer as it really warms up the complexion. Around £3.99

The final product is just a bit over £10 but it is a dual purpose one so it saves you having to buy two separate products…

For those who like Coral shades and want a dual purpose product – Bella’pierre Lip and Cheek stain in CORAL. This is really cute and compact and also has a subtle sweet scent. The packaging is really small which makes it great for travelling and the festival season. I really like this shade to as I think Coral shades work well with my fair skin but this would look great with all skin tones. This dual purpose product can be used both on the cheeks and the Lips and adds a subtle sheen. It’s also a time saver as it means you won’t have to try and find a Lipstick to match your Blusher or a Blusher to match your Lipstick.  Price around £12.99

What are some of your favourite Drugstore Blushers?

Best wishes :)

My Most Used Products - April 2015

My Most Used Products - April 2015

Hello lovely readers here's a quick post just to share with you what products I've been using the most throughout April. These products are mostly Skincare but I feel like that is because the weather is changing more in the UK so my Skincare routine is having to adapt slightly. So without to many more ramblings I am going to share with you what I've been using over the past month...

The MUA Undressed Palette - This is really well loved I try to used it as often as I can, I am trying to use this up, its part of my 2015 Project Pan and is just my 'everyday' go to Makeup collection.

I've been using this Simple Kind to Skin Moisturiser as my everyday day cream, it works well at hydrating but doesn't sit that well under makeup for me but I have noticed that my skin is becoming more oily lately which I think is due to the changes in weather. I have also included a 'mini review' on this in my previous blog post.

I have been using this pretty much every night for the past month its the Waitrose Pure Facial Oil, I really do like this it hydrates the skin and wasn't that expensive so I thought I'd try it out. I think this is my favourite product for the range, I tried a few more things that were part of the same range but they didn't work well for me as my skin is really sensitive.

Can you tell that I like to try products from Simple? This is the Kind to Skin Deep Cleansing Face Mask, I used this about twice a week as it is gentle on the skin and help me keep my skin feeling soft and clear. I do like this so I will continue to used this as my weekly Face Mask.

Finally I have been using this Ted Baker Body Souffle' most nights to moisturise my skin, its works really well as softening the skin and has a nice floral scent. I have about one of two uses left so this is nearly empty so then I will probably more on to using up another body moisturiser.

What products have you been up lately?

Best wishes :)

EMPTIES AND MINI SPRING CLEAR OUT PART - 2

EMPTIES AND MINI SPRING CLEAR OUT PART - 2

Hello lovely readers I just wanted to write a quick post to share with you what products I've been using up lately, I've tried to continue using up the products that I already own to save money and create more space. I've tried to use up a few more since my last post so here they are...

Giorgio Armani - Diamonds - This smells really clean and fresh, its more of winter scent so I wanted to finish using it before it got 'to warm to wear it'. I've had this bottle for just under two years so its lasted quite a while and has seen me through two long winter seasons. I think it smells really nice and love how it smells in the bottle but I do find it difficult to find perfumes that last all day on my skin. It a really lovely fragrance and always has be singing like in the Beyonce' advert whenever I wear it (should I have said that?) so if your ever in the fragrance isle you may want to see how this smells.

Neutrogena Visably Clear Pink Grapefruit Oil-free Moisturiser - This smells lovely, its sweet bu not too sweet and moisturises my skin all day. I like to wear this under makeup as it seems to make it wear better as it smoothes out the skin for a clear soft base. I would re-purchase this again and am already on the look out for it.
Garnier Mineral InsisiDry Anti-perspirant - Smells clean and fresh and keeps my skin feeling fresh and dry all day. I think it will certainly be good when then weather gets warmer.

Waitrose Essential - Antibac Hand Gel - Smells clean and is always an item I carry around with me as I like to freshen up on the go so this mini bottle is just the perfect size for traveling and it lasts quite a long time too.

Here are a few items I've only got a few more uses out of then they will be also part of my clear out...

Simple Daily Moisturiser - I like this but I think next time I would try the other version as it isn't the best under makeup.

The MeMeMe Highlighter - I really like this its nice to blend this in on the high points of your face for a healthy glow and also looks really pretty when mixed in with Foundation.

A nini Posie Tint - This is super cute and gives you a really subtle hint of colour, I love using it as a Lip Stain.

Yea to Cucumber wipes - These are really good at cleansing the skin, I'm not to sure about the scent but I would love to try some of the other fragrances in the range and the packaging is just really nice too.

The Rimmel Match Perfection Foundation - This bottle has lasted quite a while so you do get a lot but I am looking forward to trying out a new Foundation, I would say the coverage is light to medium but the colour isn't too great, I have the lightest shade which matches ok but is more of a summer shade on me as I have quite light skin. But its good because it comes with a pump so you can apply just the right amount and then just blend it in.

I have also been through some of my Makeup an threw away some old products, I'm trying to use up quite a few products before buying more. Although I am on the look out for a new Foundation/Concealer so I will maybe have to get a new one soon.

What products have you been using up lately?

If you have any requests for future posts, like you would like me to review a product or do some more organisation based post etc, just let me know :)

Best wishes :)

EMPITES AND MINI SPRING CLEAR OUT - PART 1

EMPITES AND MINI SPRING CLEAR OUT - PART 1

Hello lovely readers I just wanted to share with you a few of the products I have been using up lately as well as a quick little clear out of some old products.

Here are the products I've been using lately, I have included a few close ups of most of the items below too just for a closer look.

1. Clean and Clear Blackhead Eliminating Lotion - I really liked this, I would use it after washing my face at the end of the day and sweep it over my face (avoiding the eye area) to remove excess makeup on my face and to give my face a final clean in order to prevent product build up. I did think this helped keep my skin clear but it can dry your skin out slightly if you used it too often but I think I would re-purchase this again as it worked well and is really affordable.

2. Rimmel 5 in 1 Matte BB Cream - I finally used all of this up! It's only a small tube but last ages as you don't really need to much especially if you use it with a foundation brush. I found this added a light coverage to the skin and added a small amount of colour to my paler complexion. I'm not sure if I would buy this again but I think it's good and works well for the price.

3. Model Co Lip and Cheek Tint - I used most of this up but it has dried out a bit so I am going to throw this out, I did love the colour this gave on the cheeks and Lips but it was a product you really do need to blend quickly, it can also dry out the lips a bit so I wouldn't use it too often.

4. Rimmel Fix and Perfect Primer - I loved how this smoothed out my skin but I don't think my makeup lasted any longer, I did like the smell too. It is really affordable though so its a great primer to try if you are just getting into using makeup.

5. Ruby and Millie Angled Eye Brush - This is really quite old and I have used it lots so it has worn out quite a lot so I am going to stop using this as it really doesn't pick up product as good as it used to
but I did really like the Ruby and Millie makeup brushes.

6. Maybeline Mascara - I can't remember the name of this one as I don't have the packaging anymore but it was the one in the yellow packaging. This Mascara create long curled lashes that looked so pretty and flirty, just a really good product for long curled lashes I think.

PROJECT PAN - 1 - 2015

PROJECT PAN - 1 - 2015

Hello lovely readers, in this post I just wanted to share with you a few of the products  I am going to try to use up over the next few months. There are only a few products but I really want to start to use them us as they have been in my collection for just under a year so I want to start to get more use out of them while they are still 'in date'.

Here are the products I chose...

SOAP AND GLORY - ONE HECK OF A BLOT

MUA - UNDRESSED PALETTE

SOAP AND GLORY - LID STUFF PALETTE

SLEEK CONTOUR KIT - HIGHLIGHT ONLY (THE CONTOUR IS SLIGHTLY TOO DARK ON MY SKIN)

I am going to try and use these up in the next few months and then post and updated blog post when I have used them all up!

Have you tried any of these products? What did you think to them?

Best wishes :)
